As you’re all aware, we have been deeply saddened by the recent passing of Mr Clarke, who was not only the owner of our business, but a hugely important part of the family and the history of our company.
For over 90 years, our business has been built on strong family values, and Mr Clarke was an important part of that story. His passing is a deeply felt loss to his family, our employees, and to many of the customers, suppliers, and friends of the business who knew him over the years, and his legacy will remain an important part of the business and the values that continue to guide us today. To mark his funeral taking place on the 11th of September, we will be observing a two-minute silence at 1:00pm as a mark of respect and to honour his life and contribution to the business. We would like to invite all of our managers, colleagues, customers and suppliers, wherever possible, to join us in observing the silence and taking a moment to remember Mr Clarke. During these two minutes, our offices and operations will pause, and our telephone lines will not be answered, allowing our colleagues to stand together and pay their respects.
